Styling the raw ingredients in a messy manner can make it look more appealing – maybe a cracked egg, spilled flour or some leaves here and there and even dry pasta, which itself tells its story through your picture.
Manipulate the beauty of the picture with hidden props
In case of raw pasta photography, make sure to arrange your ingredients and style them in such a way that they’re all visible to the viewers. In such cases it is wise to use false bottoms, like spinach leaves or basil, etc. In case of capturing pictures of the final product, using false bottom might be a bad idea. The best option would be using food to style food. Want to make your pasta look tall? Layer it on top of more pasta. Want to decorate it brightly? Use colored spices.
Choose a vessel that compliments your pasta
